Music/Audio

Music by me, Antonio Edward.  There are three different types of music depending on where on how I made the music.

The First Sequence is just that, my first.  In 1990, I purchases a Roland MT-100 Digital Sequence and Sound Module.  The music I created were my actual first sequences.

D.J. Smoooth is a collection of songs I've made when I was a student at Long Beach City College, CA from 1994-1997.

Paradigm are my most recent collections. The first album, Pulchritude, was made in Hanau, Germany in 2003.  The second album, Sentiment, is an incomplete album of songs I made in Iraq and finished in Germany.  Enact, my latest album is still under contstruction.

Lost Collections - There are some songs that I've made that are probably lost forever. A lot of those songs were recording on either Minidisc or DAT (Digital Audio Tape). Those tapes/disks are lost forever, but I still have a lot of cassette records of those songs. It is just a matter of going through thousands of cassettes to find them. Once found, I will feature them one this site.

    What does it mean?

A set of assumptions, concepts, values, and practices that constitutesa way of viewing reality for the community that shares them, especiallyin an intellectual discipline. From Dictionary.com.

From Hanau Germany to Baghdad International Airport (2002-2004). From Fort Bragg, NC to Phoenix, AZ. I bring you Paradigm. While I was going to college, my name was D.J. Smoooth. Paradigm is what I am today, creating concepts of sound, vision, and values.

  • D.J. Smoooth  ( 3 items )

ympmusic_smoooth.jpg When I was going to Long Beach City College, I took classes in Television Production, Music Production, and Film. I was known to my classmates as D.J. Smoooth. Here are the tracks I created when I was attending Long Beach City College, in Long Beach, California. 1993-1996

Amidst all of this, I created the Aztec Project as well. However, D.J. Smoooth was not really associated with that piece. That is just Antonio's.

The dates of the project are not exact and was not archived very well.

    ympmusic_first.jpgmt100s.jpgThe First Sequence

Around 1990, I bought my first sequence, the MT-100 Digital Sequencer and Sound Module. It was my first musical machine. Throughout the years, I made all kinds of music. Well, it is all my first, so please be easy.

From jazz to techno, hip-hop to classical, to even abstract, the first sequence is one of my personal favorites. It reminds me of how life was just getting started for me.

The following is music that I made from 1990 until 1995. From Pasadena California, California State University Los Angeles, back to Pasadena California, and to Long Beach California. Here is my The First Sequence.
